Jon's Comic Art Compendium

A magical land of comic whimsy, VERILY!

Tuesday, July 11, 2006

Hello friend of friends! This is where I hope to put up some samples of my comic book work as I strive for artistic perfection(or not). Most of the stuff will probably be inking samples and stuff that I'm practicing on to improve my inking in preperation for actually getting some good samples to send in to editors. Full of hot air? Maybe. Might just be gas.

So without further abatement of your time...

My most recent debacle. Kazar #9 cover. Sure it looks simple enough, but don't let the saucy bitch fool you! Tried a few different things here and there experimenting with feathering and hatching, not all of them successful and I think it diminishes the overall cohesiveness of the piece. Lessons were learned and that is the point after all, is it not?
